Rooted in Slough: 12 Years of Community, Innovation and Growth
This month, VIP Apps Consulting marks 12 years of operating in Slough — and for us, this milestone is about much more than business longevity. It’s about place.
Slough is not a backdrop to what we do. It’s the reason we do it the way we do. The town’s exceptional cultural diversity, its concentration of ambitious professional talent, and its growing reputation as a major UK innovation centre have all been central to how we’ve built this firm — and how we intend to keep building it.
Supporting the Slough Community
For the past six years, we’ve been based at Plus X Innovation Hub within Future Works, at the heart of Slough’s emerging tech community. That proximity matters. Being part of an ecosystem of forward-thinking businesses keeps us sharp, collaborative, and connected to what’s happening in the town we call home.

But our commitment to Slough goes beyond our office address. We actively recruit locally, develop talent from within the community, and run Lunch & Learn sessions designed to upskill professionals across the area. Through our involvement in the Slough Launchpad programme, we’ve had the privilege of helping shape early-stage careers right here in our own backyard.
We’re also proud to be among the businesses backing Viva Slough and the town’s bid to become Town of Culture 2028 — a campaign that speaks to everything we believe about this place: that Slough’s diversity and creativity are genuine competitive strengths, not just talking points.
As our MD Daypesh Patel put it: “Slough’s diversity and talent have been central to our success. We are proud to continue our growth within the community and remain dedicated to investing in the people who make this town a hub for innovation.”

Twelve years in, our conviction is the same as it was at the start: the best outcomes for our clients come from a team that is genuinely invested in where they live and work. Slough gives us that. We give it back.
